During the last 8 years GP Property has undertaken many GP Practice and Private Clinic refits throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding regions including complete refurbishments of consulting rooms, treatment rooms, reception and waiting room facilities. We incorporate the latest NHS advice on design and layouts and are fully conversant with the requirements of Healthcare Technical Memorandums (HTM's) and advise on infection control, hygiene and cleaning including the use of correct materials and finishes. Our layouts and completed work are in line with, and acceptable to, the ever tightening requirements of CQC (Care Quality Commission).

Making sure that you have the correct number of air changes required through the calculation of the volume of the room, by taking into account equipment type and number providing the correct installation of positive and negative airflow and using only approved materials and equipment, all in a bid to help you attain the required standards first time.

 

HTM01-05 Upgrades

 

In 2009 the DoH published the Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) 01-05 – Decontamination in Primary Care Dental Practices. ‘’This guidance is intended to support and advance good practice throughout Primary Care Dentistry including that delivered by general dental practices, salaried dental services and where primary care is delivered in acute settings’’

 

The Memorandum makes it clear that the Care Quality Commission (CQC) will oversee this process and have regulatory responsibility to ensure that the requirements are met.

 

To say the least, we have been extremely busy ever since to assist Primary Care Dental Practices in meeting the significant changes required to raise the quality of decontamination of Dental instruments and thus reduce possible risk of infection. Working both independently and with our local NHS Trusts (Formerly PCT’s) on Primary Care Dental projects.
